Will wonders never cease....

In all his 20.5 months of life, Jude has NEVER just laid down and fallen asleep ANYWHERE before. Today, I was doing some work on the computer, look over to the couch when I realized things had been quiet for more than 10 seconds, and I see this....

After much internal debate (do I move him, am I totally messing up naptime, etc) I left him and he slept for 2 hours! Whatever works!

Soccer 2

Here are some better soccer pics. Jude did so great last class, he participated in every activity, and even did things he was afraid to do the first time (like sit in the middle of the parachute at the end while we spin them around and give them a 'ride'). He is becoming a pro at red light, green light - and loves to 'kick!' and 'run run run!' (2 of his favorite things to say, too).

Playground days.

We met Heather, Trey, and baby Genevieve at the playground today - the boys are getting really cute together as they actually become 'friends'. Jude also had his first real bout of jealousy - Trey made friends with another girl that was there and started following her around and going on things that Jude wasn't big enough for. Jude threw himself down on the ground and CRIED...and ran away from me with tears streaming down his face when I tried to console him, then climbed up onto the slide and looked through the bars at them with his soaked, snotty face calling 'Trey!!! Trey!!!!'. It broke my heart. :(

Soccer!

Hopefully some better pictures will come, as I switch lenses and figure out how to get a good exposure under all the gross fluorescent lighting - but Jude and Daddy had their first soccer class last Saturday, and they had so much fun! He was exhausted toward the end, and nearing meltdown mode - but when you asked him all day what he did in the morning, he said 'KICK!'
I found it quite comical watching 2 young girls and various parents try to organize a group of 18-24 month olds into doing the same thing at the same time.......

My toddler tornado....

Jude has this lovely way of maniacally destroying the house as I get ready to go anywhere these days. If I have more than an inch of bare floor visible at a time, it's a miracle...here's just a small example!

Peekaboo, Sadie!

Jude loves Sadie, the new kitty - and she's getting used to him, too. They like to hang out under the dining room table together.

My domesticated men...

Making pickles with daddy with our loot from the garden!

Franklin Park Zoo

On Labor Day weekend, we took a trip with the Beans and went to the zoo. It was so much fun - and Jude's favorite part was the gorilla exhibit. It made mom and dad sad, though.

Making cookies....

is a job Jude takes very seriously. As well as making sure the dough tastes ok!

Goofball!!

I love this picture because it just totally captures Jude's true personality. He is such a goober - and constantly just tries to grab the camera lately whenever I attempt to take his picture. He also loves to put stickers on his face, ha.

Ohhhh the Wells Fargo Wagon.....

So, we have a lot of updating to do. We'll start with our trip to the Gilford Old Home Day parade where we went to see the Wells Fargo Coach. We could have ridden in it, but figured Jude would have more fun watching the parade. So instead, Daddy just had the honored task of paying the pooper scooper lady.
It was a beautiful day, and Jude loved rockin' his cowboy pants (and eating a lemon)!
