We couldn't let fall pass us by without a true New England apple picking day - complete with hayride and cider donuts. The weather was perfect, and we had so much fun with Gramma, 'Nay-Nay', 'Larley', and Em.

Apple Picking
One of the best things about fall in New England is apple picking. This was Jude's first time, but he didn't need any instructions, he marched right up to those trees and started picking away. All that practice picking unripe veggies in Daddy's garden this summer paid off, I guess! We met his friend Charlie there (who, having gone with his preschool, was very concerned with showing Jude the 'correct' way to pick), and a couple of babies - we all had a great time until the mad swarms of mosquitos drove us away.....
Acworth Days
A little late on the update, but Jude had a good time (too bad it started pouring and he missed Grampa's band singing 'Hey Jude' - we heard it from the front porch, though!). He thought the older boys he was playing with were the coolest, and got a couple of them to give him a 'hayride' in a wagon. They kept asking if he wanted to get off and he'd say 'No? Ride?' He was in heaven. He's a few pics of the little cowboy....
