Maddie has been smiling since she was 3 weeks old - she's such a good natured little charmer. I don't get the chance to get the camera in her face as much as I'd like, but here are a few happy shots from the last few weeks!

So....we've been a little busy here in the Keener house, and I haven't gotten much up for pics. With the dawn of Facebook, I tend to upload pics there because it's so easy, then forget that the grandparents don't get a peek!

Here are a few of Jude reading to Madeleine (and Maisie). The first is from several weeks ago - the one in the playroom is just last week.

why NOOOO, of course! Jude was being super cute today, dancing his little dance to the Thomas the Train theme song...I went and grabbed my phone thinking 'oh, this will be such a cute video to show the grandparents' - but once he realized what I was doing, the 2 year old took over.....

1 month old!!

I may be slack at the blog entries, but I did take pics of Maddie w/her bear (that Jude made for her) on her 1 month birthday! Jude was excited to sit with his 'kook' (cute) sister to take some pictures, too. He is such a great brother - the kisses and pats greatly outnumber the headbutts. :)

Jude loves to hold Madeleine's 'lan' (hand) - and this would be the sweetest picture ever if she didn't have such a nasty look on her face!! I see lots of eye-rolling in my future......

Nate had to run out in the snowstorm to get some diapers and gas for the snowblower....I hadn't gotten a chance to get Jude down for a nap before he went out, but a little Muppet Movie on the couch, and I have 2 peaceful sleeping kids......
Better go grab my glass of wine and enjoy my 2 minutes while I can!

Siblings

1 week old!

Well, it's been a full week with 2 kids. Only 4.5 of them at home - and only 3 hours of it by myself - but in those 3 hours I managed to get Jude down for a nap AND shower, so things are going well so far! Madeleine is a little snugglebug who likes to be held 24/7. I am not minding at all this time - I don't know if it's because I'm already used to being eternally exhausted with no time for myself, or because I have bittersweet feelings about this being my last time with a 'newborn' so I am taking the time to soak it up more - but if she wants to be held all the time right now, fine with me.

Jude is adjusting well - he has his moments, is quick to break down - but is also full of kisses, says his sister is 'kook' (cute), and loves to read her stories. He's got the makings of a great big brother.
